Guess I should have specified that MY 4th gen sucks in the snow. 400+hp plus 4.10's = no-go-in-snow. And studded tires wouldn't make a whole lot of difference.

No. It's all about having good all season tires on it. Also any car is only as good as the driver.

rain, dont worry about it, just get some good tires and just be easy with the gas. snow, well, tires and weight in the rear help a lot, just look out for hills, getting up them can be a pain

sorry to bring this back from the dead, but i had to put in my $ .02. i camaros are great in the snow and rain. put some nitto dr's and you'll be fine.

Ya once it starts to snow my car is being parked under the cover. My GS-D3's will NOT be good in snow......

It's been my experience that many cars for sale with more than 100K miles is advertised as "highway miles". Not that it's a bad car, or that he is lying, but don't let that sell you.

To answer your question, they can handle good as any other car as long as you are careful and learn its characteristics. The way that I learned how to drive camaros in the snow is by playing around in parking lots.

Camaros are awesome in snow, as long as you aren't trying to accelerate from a stop. It's mangeable on the highway, but you have to be careful, and you can feel the car just sliding sometimes. Take it easy, and you shouldnt have any problems. Go figure

Ofcourse you cant drive like an idiot, but my 97z was great in the rain...funny thing is it got even better from a switch from the gsc's to nitto dr's

Get 4 Blizzak snow tires and put them on your rims for the winter months.

i learned to drive my camaro in the snow. got it in early november and there was already snow onthe ground. and i had fockin faulkens that might as well had a snow rating of 0. but now that they are getting worn down any rain is like a snow covered road when first starting out. kiicks the back end out no problem.

I've made it through 2 winters with my car already (and gearing up for #3!!), first year with the factory Eagle RSA's, then last year with a set of 215/60/16 snow tires. Honestly? I'd rather drive my Camaro than a lot of other cars in the snow (other than pulling away from a dead stop is kinda tricky) but otherwise, steering and braking are far better than any other car I've driven......seriously. FWD/RWD doesn't affect steering or braking.

FWIW, my car doesn't have traction control either, and I always had the 2.73's in during the winter months (I should try this year with the 4.10's!! ).

Tires make a big difference! I don't have traction control on my Z, but untill I bought my Goodyear GS-d3 it sucked to drive in the rain, not to much snow in Florida

To be honest, i had a 95 v6 camaro which really sucked in snow and rain but my 94 z isnt that bad really, in the winter buy a couple bags of water softener salt and throw that in the back and that helps alot, other than that to help camaros arnt as bad as people makem out to be ususally the people that end up in ditches and **** are being stupid or cant drive, or are girls :-D

4 years driving in the snow in canada every winter. Camaros suck in the snow, and suck in the rain! The best thing to do is just load the back up with weight, makes things a lot easier. If you give your car LOTS of extra space when stopping you should be fine Traction control doesnt help me much in the snow i usually turn it off.
