Camaro Z28 Northstar.....

Possible??


Discuss...im interested. i think my motor has some serious issues...so yea im interested in maybe a northstar motor if possible

well, yea true, but the average joe, with enough money to fix the car right, and not pour money into this LT1 motor i have now if its not worth it kinda person

Probably better off fixing the LT1. Engines that aren't supposed to be in certain cars usually involve more than just swapping in the motor.

if you thought your LT1 was bad. wait to till you get your NS they're junk i have heard way to many bad things about them! and good luck changing your starter on the NS.

Isn't the Northstar DOHC V8 physically larger than an LT1?

I would think so due to having two cams in each head like the Ford DOHC V8, which is larger than a SBC.

If this is true, you might have less room to work in your engine bay if you go through with the transplant.

northstar is considerably larger if i recall correctly.

much much cheaper and get more power with an LS1 swap

or just fix your LT1

if they can stuff a 502ci in them im sure they can fit a northstar

There was a member here a few years back. Turbowash IIRC. He had a black LT1 car with a Turbo Northstar on Fikse's.

Fix your current engine or replace it with another LTI (or LS1). Much easier and cost effective and achievable on a budget..
