Camaro no start, intermittent:confused:
Camaro no start, intermittent:confused:
Well, I get off work today and go to start my car, nothing. All seems normal when I put the key in the "on" position, but nothing happens when I go to the start position. It happened last saturday, 15 minutes later it started right up. Today, it took about ten minutes before I got it to start. The security light is not on, got a good battery, I cleaned my battery cables about three weeks ago, everything looks good. I'm thinking it could be the switch that is attached to the top of the clutch pedal. Has anyone ever had one go out? Just wondering if they usually start off as a intermittent problem or do they just go out all at once? If anyone could help me out, it would be much appreciated. I need to get this fixed since it is my only transportation to work.
you could use a self powered test light to test the switch. Just remove it and unplug the harness. put the test light on the connector pins and press the switch if the light lights up then the switch is good.
actually about a year ago, I noticed mines gone out too.. but in a "good" way.. as in I can start the car now without pressing down the clutch pedal.. I discovered it accidently, and I wonder how longs its been like this..
I guess if that is your problem, you could probably figure a way to jump it so that switch so its always on..
