Will a dashpad from a 98 Z28 fit into my 96 T/A?

 

No, and its unfortunate because the 97+ style is so much better.

He is asking if a 98 dashpad from a camaro will fit in a 96 TA...all T/A's have the same dash from 93 up.

 

Nope and see there you're dead wrong. I had a 93 TA dash and i bought an LS1 dash pad it will not fit. They're similar yet different. I ended up having to buy a 93-96 Bird pad for mine. Which is for sale by the way.

Here is the 93-96 Firebird pad i'm selling notice how it has a more square corner by the defroster vent while the 97+ has a nice smooth bend there.

The dash pad it self will not. The whole dash and dash pad will, but i pray you're not thinking about putting that ugly azz dash in your car. There are 3 different dash pads. The 93-96 Camaro, 93-96 Firebird, and the 97+ Camaro/Bird dash.

 

Aren't all 4th gen Pontiac dashes the same? It's just the 97+(?) center console that's different on them.

No I dont want that dash in my car, I love the Pontiac dash. I just wanted to see if that pad would be an option for me.

 

the dash pad wont fit. it looks similar but there are diffrences.

I always wanted a 97+ Camaro dash its just some one gave me that old TA dash for free and i couldn't pass it up. Now i finally made the swap to the dash that i'm truely happy about. Also i always liked the 97+ dash pad design better its held down by metal clips not velcro. Actually the whole dash is held together by metal clips or screws where a lot of the early TA dash was held together by velcro.
