A/C system question

alright, couple months ago, my AC had a "AC pressure sensor low" code come up, and i would reset it and it would come back. My Compressor will not turn on for me to charge the system up. We called the shop that origionally changed out the whole A/C system and he said that i have to "turn it on in the computer". How do I go about doing this, and is this even correct?

Reset your PCM. You have to do that after the system has been shut down because of low pressure.

You reset the PCM by pulling the PCM fuse or disconnecting the negative cable to your battery for 5 minutes.

do i have to try to start the car or anything by disconnecting the battery, or taking out the PCM fuse?

Remove PCM BAT fuse for 30 seconds, then put it back. That's all.

well, if the a/c pressure is low, it will set that code immediately , so, the system needs to be vacuumed down, then the system partially charged, , then reset the pcm with the fuse trick, then it should work

or the compressor relay can be jumped to get the system charged, then the reset can be down

how do i "jump" the relay? i just need to get this running ASAP and for a local place to vacuum it out and charge it im looking about $100. Once i jump the relay, i can charge it, unjump the relay, put the relay back in, unplug the fuse, replug it, and be good to finish charging it, correct? will jumping the relay cause any potential problems?

I got no A/C either. I jumped the relay for a couple of seconds just to verify the compressor would run. Underhood relay box - B1 ->B4 on the A/C relay triggered the compressor on mine.

Haven't gone any further though.

If you look down in the socket where the relay goes, you do.
