i have no idea...i got it from a GM dealer....

edit: AZ doesnt carry it...its a special order part...

The Autozone website has a listing for the part #34844 but it is special order.
The GM dealer may have sold you the hose for a LS1 car...
They look about the same but are different part numbers.

It isn't easy working on the LT1 Fbody... If it's the right part this time, you should be able to get it on...

the pipe/tube that runs to the evaporator routes in front of the compressor, right? or up alongside of it?

On mine, that hose goes in front of the compressor along the back of the radiator shroud and then back to the evaporator.

maybe im going to have to bend it? i dont think its physically possible for it to go in front of the compressor....

yep.....

the part that bolts into the back of the compressor is bumping up against it..i have no idea how to get it routed to the front....tried it with the compressor out, and in...nothing...

So basically the distance between the part that bolts onto the back of the compressor and the part of the hose that goes up to the top isn't big enough for the compressor to fit between?

I wish I could help more, but I've never replaced this hose... Maybe it got bent and needs to be bent back... I have no idea...

correct....my neighbor and i tried to getting it from the top and the bottom at the same time....nada...
