A/C experts please help

I have a 94 z28 I am trying to get my a/c fixed again but having some problyms, it isnt holding a vaccume and wondering if there is any simple ways to find a leak with out waisting my money on freon.

The radiater and condensoer had a disagreement with my trailer when the ramps gave away trying to load it, i replace the radiater and condenser and it still wont hold a vaccume. But when i put the condenser in i thought i might have broke the fitting loose on the conser so i pulled it back out and plugged 1 end of it with my thumb and blew air threw the other and it seemed to hold enough pressure that i coudnt hold my thumb over it for very long. (Several months later) today i reinstalled the condenser and can not for the life of me rember which way the orphus tube goes in it has an arrow on it but dont rember if it points in the condensor or to the compresser in the big line? Or does it even go in the big line at the condenser if not where the heck does it go? I would really appreciate some help its starting to get to hot for my 3 year old daughter. Thanks in advance peeps

Just put some dye fluid inside AC, run the AC and then check it with fluorescent light. It will show where the leak is...I used it many times when I was working in my fathers shop...

Thanks 4 the help all figured it out after work today. Its truly amazing what you can do when your fresh and not all pissed off. Just so everyone knows 94 z28 has no orphus tube they use an exspantion valve. That took care of my high pressure on the lowside now as long as my 20 dollar leak sealer does its job ill be in business again. again thanks for the help all.
