Well, your build number is the last 7 digits of your VIN number. You can call pontiac historical services and get a build date, but that's about all the info you're going to find for a "normal" car.
Hell even some of us with limited cars; like myself; are screwed because GM/SLP did not keep track of the order they built them in, just how many.

Trust me, I've looked everywhere...
SLP did the Firehawk and WS6 conversions on all LTX cars, ASC did the LS1 cars..
SLP did not keep track of any of the Formula's with the WS6 conversion in '97. I've gone as far as speaking with the VP of SLP about it; can't go much higher than that.
