is it just me, or is the newer borla quieter than the old one or are ls1's just quiet engines. I had old style borla on 2 prevvous LT1's, and they seem louder. also.i notice on the newer borla, it seems like part of the hole for the open side is blocked off by part of the pipe that goes to the muffler. if i remember correctly, the old borla did not have not much metal in the path of the open side. any ideas/comments?

 

Haven't heard an LS1 with a Borla, but my buddies 01 Z28 with a Flowmaster is a lot quieter than my Borla.

I just installed LT's and a catted Y and the thing is LOUD at WOT w/ the plate open. But quiet at idle. Never had a lot of time w/ and LT1 to make a comparason.
