I might buy a 400sbc chevy, but my friend doesn't know what he wants for it.. I don't know what to offer.. What's a resonable block.. I believe he has crank and pistons too.. it's only a 2 bolt main...??

Re: Block prices?

I ran 11.0's @123 in a 3750 lb. 82 f-body (with the 400 small block & driver). You need good heads, roller cam and 11 to 1 compression with flat top pistons. It will run on pump gas!!! PS: If he is your buddy and the block is good than he should let what ever he has go for what he has in it or $100/150. Remenber MACHINE WORK need's to be done.
