Blinkers won't flash. Just stay solid.

Hello. I just noticed my blinkers won't blink. They stay solid and I don't know why. I just installed a new CD player and door speakers. ? Doubt that has anything to do with it but I don't know. Any help would be awesome.

you either have a blown light bulb, or a bad flasher. most likely a bulb, so check those. also check the sockets for a good connection

Thank you, I'll check em out. Wouldn't that cause a fast blinker though?

I had this happen with just one side, removed the tailight a few inches and checked all bulbs and they were all working. I wiggled all the wiring and just put it back in and it ended up working after that. I imagine it was just a wiring/connection issue but its working fine now. Prob doesnt help much but is my experience with it.

No. Just the opposite.

Would having LEDs cause this problem? Im not running resistors with mine.

It could. The stock flasher needs the resistance of normal bulbs to work. You might try using an electronic flasher.

ah, probably should have mentioned the LED lights. yes, even just replacing the front or back with LEDs will cause it to stop flashing. however, using an electronic flasher will fix it. ive been there.
