Beware: SIMPLE GREEN will take your engine bay paint off!
I was using some simple green and a brush to clean up the firewall and related areas, and I noticed the suds turning kinda greenish. Rinsed off and the paint was gone!!!
The Engine Degreaser stuff I used didn't seem to do this though.
Just be careful with it

Did you scrub with it though? Or just spray on-hose off...
I noticed it doing it to my radiator upper support too...

I just got some spray touchup paint and clearcoat and toched it up. White Lightning cleans just as well and didnt take any paint off BTW.
I use straight simple green on my engine, wheels
But then again, I don't give 2 ****s about my wheels.
I don't do the engine bay paint w/simple green, I usually go over that with 303 aerospace protectant or something.

You didn't use to stiffer brush now did you. Some brushes will take paint!
