Best way to clean out heads.

I just got done building my motor but I have gotten some debris and what not in my heads. What is the best way to clean them out.

soak with carb cleaner then hose off then hit it with a air gun thats what machine shops do

That what I did with the LT4's I have. Spray Carb/TB cleaner on, rub clean with rag. The ports are harder, thats where some kind of cleaning instrument would come in handy.
