backfire
backfire
Ok im having a problem when starting the car it gives a small backfire sometimes. When i drive down the road and left off the gas alittle it does the same thing. I have a 98 SS borla exhaust, manual, slp lid,MAF and pully. Buddy told me it might be too much fuel goin in. Im ready to take it to the dealer and see what they have to say but i thought i ask on here first. Anybody have any idea what could cause this problem?
thanks
thanks
Re: backfire
Mine does that when she's cold. Normal O2 open loop thing.. I guess.
It dosn't do it so much anymore since I installed the LT's. It just pops once at start up. If it does it after it's warmed up, spark timing problem.....mabie...
If it's just when it's cold, don't worry. It SHOULD go away when the O2's warm up.. (700* under exh temp)
