Average Miles per Tank?

What are you minor bolt on guys getting out of a tank? Im lucky to get 150 and I drive conservative for the most part. When the car is cold it backfires between 1-2-3. Once warm it stops. Could I be running super rich?

I run 93 octane all the time and mods are in my sig. Thanks!

I average 300 a tank with 3.73's and an auto so yeah, I'd say you're running just a bit rich or something.

Purely city my 2002 Z28 (A4/3.23) gets around 270 miles a tank. The car averages 19 MPG in the city. I would think you have a problem if you're only getting 150 miles a tank...

You have a huge problem if you're getting 150 a tank. I'm missing and I'm getting 230 a tank with less than conservative driving.

Miles per tank means nothing, as nobody fills up with the same amount left in the tank. MPG would mean something.

Good point. At 150 a tank you're averaging 10-11 miles to the gallon? I average 19-20 with my car. Even beating on it I still get 15-16.

350-375 in the v6
I think 200-220 in the 5.0. bit it has like a 13 gallon tank.

I am usually getting 18-20 in the city on my bolt-on LT1. Fresh plugs, wires, O2 sensors, fuel filter, ect. and the motor is still healthy.

So I should send my ECU out for MadZ to tune then? The car doesnt have any codes or lights on. Seems to run very strong.

I get about 250 to a tank. I dont do the math by how big the tank is, I do it by the number that goes into it at the pump. Meaning thats how much I DID use. So I do think thats a fairly acurate way to figure miles per tank.
