Auto Gauge VS Autometer

Im looking for a 5"tach with shift light,black,8k rpm.

I ve found an Auto Gauge that is supposed to be made by Autometer:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Price :115.95$

or
A Autometer :
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Price: 171.95$

Whats the deal here. Are any of the two better than each other. Is the AutoGauge model a real Autometer but with a different name on it.

I need a precise basic tach with shift light but dont need any recall option.

So am i good with the Autogauge?

The AutoGage series is Auto Meter's street value priced line of gauges. I haven't yet seen any concise list of differences between the Auto Meter branded and AutoGage branded gauges yet though I'd say you'd probably be fine with an AutoGage.

Also, keep in mind there is also an Auto Gauge (note the difference in spelling) that is a Thai company making super cheap, very low quality gauges.

The Autogage from summit are made by Autometer, not the chinease cheap knock off.

I will go with the Autogage.

I have autogauge n my 55 Chevy and they work well, look good and seem to be very accurate. I had a autogauge vac/boost gauge in my Z28 and had the same experience. Good Stuff IMO.
