I have a 2000 SS and i have mac headers with the cat'd y-pipe. Right now im trying to decide on what exhaust cat-back im goin to go with. SO if you have mac headers, please let me know what catback you are using and if you like it, how loud it is, etc etc. I had a 95 with Jet-hot LT's and ORYpipe and loud mouth, and it was just friggin insanely loud and raspy, which i dont want. Im really curious is the Loudmouth would be a whole lot louder then it would be with stock manifolds and ypipe , since i have the catd ypipe!?!?

 

I'm pretty sure it would be insanely loud with the "loudmouth". That's what I've heard anyway. I'd look into the Hooker cat-back, or if you want the best sound the Flowmaster American Thunder would be your best bet. It may give up a few ponies, but it sounds amazing.

 

Right now im torn btwn GMMG, and magnaflow. I was seriously thinking about getting hooker, but decided to hold off for a stainless system. I also was going to highly consider the loudmouth again, that is if it wouldnt be too loud or raspy.Hmm Does anyone have GMMG that has headers with a catd ypipe? HOw loud is that , and does it have any rasp?

 

I'm running the hooker with my macs...at idle it sounds real quiet, when you drive normal has a nice tone and when you lay into it it gets decently loud. But its NEVER annoyingly loud and does not sound raspy.

 

thanks for the replies. I like the way the hooker sounds, but ive decided to go with something stainless. I have a friend that has magnaflows on his cobrar and it sounds pretty awesome.

Thanks for the LInk...ive been there though, and i just decided that with my crappy speakers that i really cant be to sure about what im hearing. the magnaflow and the gmmg just sounded to similar to me through them and i know thats not supposed to be. lol
