Anyone use (chrome?)amber bulbs/clear lens?

Well, I have noticed for a while that I my front turn signals (194's) are burnt out on my camaro, and since it has the clear lens, I cannot replace them with what is sold locally. As the Amber 194, i guess are not that popular in Germany.

My bigger (1156?) amber bulbs are still working properly, but if anyone paid close enough attention would notice, both lenses are equally only half lit up. But if I do get down there to replace the 194's wondering if I should replace the others as well?

Either way, I was curious if anyone had tried the "chrome-amber 194"

or the bigger one?(1156?)

is there a difference? and if anyone has comparison pictures? found one from a newer style mustang, but... couldn't really imagine the results on the 4th gen.

I have read good things on them, they appear clear in the housing but light up amber. I will be buying a set for my GTO in the next month or so. To get rid of the amber look in the lens when the light isnt on.

Can you get them from AutoZone or do you have to order them somewhere online?

I'm not sure, I'm here in germany and cant even get a amber 194, so I am forced to order online, thats why I'm going to go with the chrome ones, I'll take pictures afterwards if anyone wants to see...

Here is an example, its obviously not of a camaro/firebird.

but if you have the clear lenses than you get an ugly orange lens really, so with the chrome bulb, it appears to stay clear while the light is off

not too sure,

I'm getting mine from a guy on ebay, because I couldn't find a seller that would sell both the 194 Chrome ambers with the 3057 Chrome Ambers

http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/coco701111/

There is the 3057, his dont look exactly as I wanted, but the look is the same through the lens

here is the 194, it looks as I expect it to.

A regular # 194 bulb has 2 CP(candle power)...... # 168 has 3 CP, but half the life..... Dont know about chrome version..

# 1156 is 32 CP and # 3057 is 32 CP also.... I'd have to do alittle more research to find a brighter candle power bulb, if that what you are looking for...
