sound would be awesome...

i've seen it discussed several times.

something that changes alot of minds on it though is that the chambered muffler sold in Summit (or jegs) has 3" inlet/outlet, but the inside of the chamber is only 2.5"

that could cause quite a restriction on a otherwise very free-flowing exhaust

I know many people have replaced the resonator with a Borla XR-1 race muffler. Haven't seen one in person, but from what I've heard it is fairly common and many say it sounds great.

Been there done that and LOVE it. I had mine made up so I can change out the resonator for the stick whenever my mood changes in about 15 min using muffler bands. Send Mike a buzz over at http://www.sweet-thunder.com Hes easy to work with and gets back to you pretty fast. PS: the 2.5 vs 3 inch is a bunch of garbage doesnt matter in real world driving 1 bit.
