I found this on Thunder Racing's website:

"Madman manual rack conversion kit. This rack works with your factory K-member or aftermarket tubular K-members to replace the stock heavy power steering rack. Since this manual unit has a more aggressive gearbox it will take less effort to turn compared to a factory rack with the power assist disconnected. Shed weight off of the front of your race car and make steering in the pits much easier with the bolt-in rack and pinion kit. Custom made to be a direct bolt-in for your 93-02 F-body."

Does anyone know from personal experience how much this lightens up your front end? Also, how great are the compromises in steering? It says that it takes less effort than a OE rack w/o power steering, but by how much? I'm a strong guy, but is it considerably more difficult than just keeping the factory P/S rack? My Camaro isn't a daily driver anymore, but I'd like to drive it on the streets occasionally...
