Anyone have Sylvania CoolBlue headlights in the Birds???
Re: Anyone have Sylvania CoolBlue headlights in the Birds???
I have Silverstars in, and I was THRILLED with how white they are...
...until I put xenon bulbs in my fog lights. Now my lights don't match anymore because the fogs are so much whiter.
The silverstars from are actually pretty white from 100 feet away or more. But as you get closer I think the start looking more yellow again. Well, maybe not yellow, but "washed out". Maybe it's more about the beam diffusing than the color, I don't know.
I'll eventually upgrade mine to aftermarket housings.

I had a set of the CoolBlues in my 95, they worked a little better then stock. I think it's the best, or one of, sealed beams out there for our cars.

If you want a blue look, you could probably find better elsewhere. When I used CBs in one of my cars they barely had a blueish tint and didn't seem to do much for vision.
If you really just want to see better, I would go Silverstar. They are much whiter than most bulbs and probably will actually let you see better.
