Any idea how many 1996 SS still out there?

Sorry I wasn't sure where else to put this... Anybody have an idea how many of the 2410 1996 SS's are still out there? I have car #425, white convertible (1 of 110 convertibles?) automatic with ~105k miles on it. We've seen many miles together, but gosh, the darn thing just doesn't seem to be worth much to anyone but me anymore...

I'd appreciate a reply if your '96 SS has made it this far too.

My 94 Z28 gets even less respect than your SS... I love my car and will keep it, not matter if anyone else likes it or not.

95 Z-28 All New

My 95 Z 28 Convertible, Silver and Black has newly refreshed LT1, rebuilt auto, new top and new tires and I cant give it away? I have over $9500. in all the up grade and Only asking $8500 for it. Its a new 14 year old car and looks new as well. I guess I will hang on to it as well. I just need the room in my garage for other toys. This is a SPL/PEP car, with special badging from GM and documntation about it.:

That's going to be almost impossible to figure out, but good luck. These cars have lost alot of value over the years, Selling any car right now is hard, but it's also just time for our cars to lose some value because they are old. It's just going to get worse for awhile, but then they will start gaining back some value.

Also, with LS1's getting so cheap, anyone looking for a performance car is going to want to get that over an LT1.

Good luck. It mite be rare, but no one is going to want to pay that much for an LT1. Hold it for another 10-20 years and you'll make bank.

Thanks for the replies... It was kinda my cry for help as I'm getting a lot of pressure to 'cash-for-clunkers' my car. Its getting a bit rough around the edges but I think we can all agree that would be a travesty. I live in the northeast and don't have a garage. Its getting hard to justify the storage expense over the winter and my parents don't want it back at their place.

Yes I'm plenty old enough to do what I want with my life, but that doesn't stop everyone else from giving me all this helpful advice (Italian family and all). Anyway I've been trying to play the "rare" card...

I'm sure you can get more than $3,500 for it - unless it's really beat. And if you were to do that, wouldn't you have the same problem because you'd have to get another car.

I would GIVE it away before I let the Gov. destroy my Camaro. And I am serious!!! Unfortunately we are at or near the bottom of the cycle, good 3rd Gens. are worth more. However if you can't keep it in very good condition, it still won't be worth much in the future.

I'm sure quite a few. 2,000+ Your car is a pretty rare combination. White is one of the rarest colors on LT1 SS's and a convertible makes it even more rare (though, I for one would be less interested in the car as I only want a hardtop/t-top car.)

Please don't C4C your car. Sell it to an enthusiast who will enjoy it.

I agree, don't let them destroy it. PLEASE. Sell it for whatever you can get for it and wash your hands of it, but don't let them crush a Camaro!

PEP vehicles are company owned and driven by GM executives for a specific time/mileage and are then sold or leased to GM employees and their eligible family members.

97ss 383 D1 MM6 Camaro. Heavy mods. Yea, not much dollar value out there, but, I can crush proche/ bmw/ marcedes/ rice stuff on a regular basis. They start it, I finish it. It's all Otto cycle stuff, but, American stuff is hard to beat for power and performance. I love simple push-rod designs. Keep it. Mod it. I did. B.
