Any _good_ guage comparisions out there, with actual tests?

I'm about to pick up some gauges for the car, and frankly, I've been a huge fan of the way AutoMeter gauges look, and I absolutely DON'T want white faced gauges. Searching this forum and others, there's a slew of "I wouldn't trust so and so, because you get what you pay for". I know of plenty of absurdly priced aftermarket parts/accessories that are pure garbage, as well as some really cheap parts that are great.

I've been thinking about the gloshift gauges on eBay, and of course, I see a lot of "I wouldn't trust them because they're cheap", but I never see anything to back up the claims that they are crap, or anything to back up that AutoMeter is good either, other than "every one else uses them, so they must be good". Nearly every owner of a classic muscle car is also running Radial T/A tires too...but I know from experience I'll get about 5,000 miles from a set

What I'm looking for is a site or three that have actually tested the different gauges for performance and accuracy.

How do I know they're any better than the $15 Sunpro gauges at Wal-Mart?

what guages are you using? Sunpro stuff is pretty nice too, i have one of their Tachs on a honda, and its pretty dang accurate.

I will always go with the sport comps by autometer cause i know they have everything i need that will match too

I'm not using anything yet. How do you _know_ that the Sunpro is accurate? What tests have you or other people done to prove it's accuracy?

I'm not saying that Autometer is crap, or Sunpro is crap. But the only thing I have to go on so far is basically hearsay, I have no solid proof one way or the other that Autometer actually does outperform the competition, and I'm not just paying for the Autometer name, especially considering one of the gauges I want/need is a fuel pressure gauge, and they're awfully pricey.
