FWIW in 2001 the SPID label is on the rear of the driver's door. I don't know about where it is on any other 4th gen F-bodies.

You say there are a lot of Ls1's there, Do you know if they have any Ram air hoods for the ws6? And if so could you get me the phone number so I can order one. My car was in a hail storm and I would like to get a used ws6

no i'm sorry the only one he has is a 99 SS, he only junks the Z's and TA's etc..if he ever got one that'd be the first thing he took off if of course it wasnt' hit in the front damaging the hood which most do ....this guy mostly has just pats you need i've only saw two SS's he's had thats junked and his boy before i can get to them takes all the goodies and puts it on his car which is a Z but has trasfomed it into a SS hisself....this guy is kind of high anyways due to me living in the sticks and he knows his f bodies, he would charge an arm and a leg and whatever else you got leftover for one of those

for what it's worth. i took my factory shaft and had it balanced and it works great.

The biggest advantage of the Aluminum Dr Shaft is not its strength but its ligther weight which means less rotating mass in the drivetrain.

thank you thats another reason why i'd like to have one is for the weight diff.
