alternator cutout?

alternator cutout?

anyone seen this kit before? i dont see it really giving any real advantage. just wondering.

i dont see how that would do anything. Maybe if it elimated the alternator completely off the serpentine belt. But some relays and sensors wont do much.

Yea I kinda figured that it would be about as effective as those “electric superchargers” (marine bilge pumps) that they were trying to sell on there for a wail.

basically the kit just eliminates the load on the alternator. it pretty much just sits in free spin if not hooked up. theoretically without having to generate electricity there is that much less parasitic lose on the engine.

maybe 1 or 2hp....i wouldn't worry about it

On a non-computer car it might help, but I would not do it with todays cars...

As stated above its not that much HP.. Just gives an small edge, if that....
