Alarm only beeps once when armed
Alarm only beeps once when armed
Im used to my car beeping 2 times quickly in succession when i set my alarm but lately, its only been going one time. Does anyone know the reason for this?
Re: Alarm only beeps once when armed
Mine beeps once when armed and twice when disarmed.
Does everything else work aside from the beep? Maybe the horn for the alarm is starting to die out or something, that would be my guess.

me too, i believe that's stock.
You might have a latch open or a sensor might not be working right. If it still works normally (comes on when people try to break into it) then i wouldn't worry about it.

I see you camaro is a 97, mine is 98. When I press the button to look all doors, I get two beeps and one, if one of the doors or hatch is not locked correctly.

Mine does 2 honks and nothing when unlocking it. It will only hink once if one of the doors or the hatch isnt closed completely. I use mine with the t-tops off and the windows down and it hinks twice. You might have a door sensor going out telling the system its not closed correctly. Hope that helps...
