Airbag Light?

Anyone know how to reset the airbag light on a 95 T/A? I am also trying to find out where the problem lies, any ideas on how to troubleshoot the system? Any advise is much appreciated?

I believe this is not true, as the SRS system is independant and not accessable thru the diag port for the PCM, is that right? Also, the car was wrecked many years ago and a fender or two replaced, the airbags did deploy and I have had the problem with the airbag light ever since. Could it be just a bad sensor? Also, if I replace the sensors will the light reset or is it only resetable thru a SRS scanner? Anyone have any ideas?

Many times when the airbags deploy you have to replace the computer, bags, and sensors to get the system fully working again. As Daniel6718 said, they system does a self check each time you start the car and the light illuminates if there is a problem. Get rid of the problem, and the light will go away.

The Air Bag computer cannot be scanned through the diagnostic port on OBD I vehicles.
