"!air" "!egr" What mean this?
In several people's signatures, I see mods with exclamation points in front of them. Does this mean it is a "free mod?" It seems that they all deal with things of that nature, like "!cat," meaning they removed their catalytic converter. Right?

Re: "!air" "!egr" What mean this?
AFAIK (<--as far as I know) anything that's a !mod is usually something deleted:
- !cags (removed/disabled cags)
- !cat (removed the cat)
- !egr (removed the egr valve)
.....then I've seen it used in ways such as "!power" --- like, "no power"!

Re: "!air" "!egr" What mean this?
!weight reduction, !tb bypass etc...
It pretty much just means a free mod or something removed like you stated.
So !Air and !Egr means that there emissions were removed, mainly to clean up the engine bay and reduce a little in weight.
Edit: dang you guys answered it while I was writing my post......I thought it was for free mods too, but I could be mistaken.

Re: "!air" "!egr" What mean this?
The "!" comes from the unix programming language where it means "logical negation". Byte heads who were also motor heads adopted this unix c shell operator to mean "no" or "removed/deleted" for the use in internet automotive slang.
"! weight reduction" would actually infer that you added weight.

Oh, Shoebox, you just think you're sooo smart.
Thanks for your 4th Gen LT1 F-Body technical aids, by the way. I have used them like five times now. I bought a Haynes manual for the O2 sensor locations, and I couldn't find them in there so I took it back to AZ for them to look and both of the guys there couldn't find them either. Then I looked in the manual for the Schrader valve to release my fuel pressure, but the pictures were so small that I just went back to your site once again. Now I don't even open the stupid thing. Why would I? I can get full page color pictures printed out from your site.

yea, its a logical NOT. i use it all the time at work (im a programmer)
so somthing simple in pesudo code would be
if ( a != b ) then DoSomthing
the != part reading as not equal.
