Air Conditioning!

Does anyone know the location of the evaporator temperature sensor on an 1995 Z28? My air was working, and now stopped, it is full of freon, and the pressure sensor is testing ok. If I jumper the relay, everything works fine, and blows nice cold air.

I am guessing it has to be the temperature sensor based on the schematics I have seen, however not sure of the physical location of it.

Thanks in advance!

Ask this guy, LOL.

I would be skeptical that is your problem, though. Have any a/c related trouble codes? If a code is set, the computer inhibits a/c compressor operation. After the trouble is cleared, the computer has to be reset to allow operation again.

Yea, I've found your sensor...now I just have to figure out where it plugs into...LOL. My picture should clearly indicate what you're looking for. Now if someone could post a picture of what I need

So if I have a defective coolant sensor, that would do it? This damn SLP instrument cluster has a coating on the back, that I can barely see if any of the idiot lights are lit, but that is an issue I have been having intermittently with the coolant sensor. I'll jumper that out to make sure that is the problem

Thanks again Shoe, your the best!

Use a scanner.

Use a scanner, that would be too easy. OBD1, with OBD2 connector.

I had to build my own ADLD converter for my last laptop with transistors, and some diodes, and used freescan(?) software. Worked great. That laptop took a dump. So I can't just take my desktop out to the car..

Doing a radiator flush anyway today, so I will change the coolant sensor. If not I have plenty of paper clips handy for jumpers..

Thanks again Shoe!
