Air conditioner noise

My a/c has just recently begun to make a sort of buzzing / whistling noise when it is turned on. I can't think of anything that I've done to the car in the past couple of days that would have caused this. Anyone experience this problem?

The a/c works the same, but the noise is really annoying, and turning the music up will get tiresome soon.

Re: Air conditioner noise

Mine does the same, I've been trying to figure it out myself.

I think it's either the AC oil or the compressor, i just havn't had a lot of time to figure it out.

someone shed some light

Re: Air conditioner noise

Just a thought - does it do it with just the fan on? I had some small leaves in the blower motor box once that made a buzzing noise. Don't have a clue how they got in there. Probably not it, but you may be able to eliminate the compressor if the noise is still there with just the fan on.
