Air bag Sensor/Module Problem? Help!

I was told that my airbag sensor/module on my 95 Camaro was somewhere within the dash, but I can't seem to find it. I thought it was the module that is right behind the hood catch/windshield washer fluid reservoir, but those do not match? Was I just sold the wrong sensor? Or is it somewhere else that I just haven't seen yet.

I'm attempting to put in the bags and new dash this weekend, but ran into this problem. If I don't have a sensor and install the new bags... they will deploy when ever the battery is hooked up right?

Anyone know what I have to do... maybe I'm just not seeing the sensor.

Thanks,

Mark

okay... so tearing more into this... I think i found a sensor deep underneath the steering column. After some time, I pull out the sensor... it has the same pointed arrow type of design as mine, but looks NOTHING like it, mine is bigger and has a different plug.

So what should I do now? If I put in the bags with that sensor, they are gonna just blow in my face right?

If you want me to post up pics, let me know. I just seem to be stuck here with no interior in my car

In my 97 there is one under the center console, I bet that is the one you have.

thanks a lot man... found it under the center console and replaced the other one that I took out. That's the only sensor that has to be replaced right?

Alright module changed, I fired up the car with the airbags in to see if everything was alright... and hoping they didn't blow up in my face.

Everyone went fine, except the airbag light is still on? What could this be?
