Aftermarket windsield

I have to get my windshield replaced. They said they use aftermarket glass. will this still look the same? I am very particular about having things look identical, like the tint at the top, or the black paint around the sides.

I would imagine it would, but if you're in doubt as to see the glass prior to it being installed and let the shop know if you aren't completely satisfied with it you won't have it installed.

I don't really have a choice, I have to get it replaced and to use a factory windshild i was quoted almost $1000, if they could even get it. They said the glass they use is identical to factory, as that company makes the glass for GM. The only difference is its going to say PPO instead of GM, and its $260 instead of $1000.

I had aftermarket glass installed in my car at the start of last year when my original one cracked. It looked the same to me in regards to tint and all that but then again its just a damn windshield so I didn't really care therefore I didn't scrutinize it much
