I'm just posting this for others who might search.

My AC in the 94 Z28 would start out cold, but even with the fans on high, it wouldn't blow very hard and it was really loud. After a little while, it would all but stop blowing and get warm...

I did my basic diagnostics with my R134a manifold set and the system pressures were in the acceptable range for the ambient conditions.

So I decided to look at the blower motor and evaporator core to see if the evaporator core was blocked or if the blower motor was failing.

I pulled the blower motor and fan assembly out from under the dash and quickly saw the problem. The fan assembly was FULL of leaves. I also vaccumed a bunch of leaves and debris out of the duct leading to the evaporator core. I cleaned up the fan and re-installed the blower motor assembly.

Now I have good air flow through the vents and it is relatively quiet even on high. Most importantly, It's 92* out and I'm getting 57* air out of the center vent.

Hopefully this info will help someone down the line...

Did you figure out how they got in there?

I did not specifically figure out how the leaves got in, but it is possible that they either worked their way through the fresh air intake from the cowl area, or they may have been sucked in from the interior one at a time while I was driving around with the top down...

You would be surprised what can find its way in those blower motors. Live animals have found there way in those blower boxes as well.
