Are you talking about the ***** not lighting up or the lights behind the flat piece of plastic with the blue to red line?

There are no lights in the ***** nor will the stripe on the line light up.

Never had my dash apart so I can't help you there, sorry.

Take off the bolster panel (under the steering wheel, (4) 7mm bolts.) Disconnect defroster switch. Take off the bezel around the radio, 5 bolts, I believe. You have to drop your glove box down to reach the lower two. Carefully fold in the sides and pull down on the glove box. At this point you should see the bolts holding the HVAC in place, 2 bolts I think. Pull unit out, disconnect two wires that the lights are hooked to. Replace with new peanut bulbs, reverse for install. Hoped that helped.

P.S. This is for the 93-96 models.
