AC Compressor Died on '94 Z28
AC Compressor Died on '94 Z28
Hey guys, I literally just got the Optispark and Intake oil leak fixed on my Camaro, and now the car has an unhealthy shake
. The mechanic who helped me with the intake manifold job thinks the AC compressor or bearing is to blame. Tomorrow I'm going to take the belt off to see for sure, but the AC hasn't worked in the car for years so I'm thinking the compressor may have finally given out.
I checked out RockAuto for a replacement OEM part but found several ACDelco part numbers listed (roughly six). I did a quick web search and found this info:
Assuming this info is correct, I searched RockAuto for the "15-20178" phrase with no luck. I then tried "1136535" with two results. Any idea which of these 2 is the correct one?

I hear ya bro. The compressor on my '94 T/A blew up on me. I would hear this annoying *** squeak when idling and one day it refused to start. My mechanic put a new compressor in and it ran beautifully. Cost for parts and labor was $500.
