Angry AAAAA! Window motor is welded to regulator assembly!!!

I am going to kill that mother#$@$@# previous owner who did that crap!!! Obviously, they tried to secure motor with crappy screws, stripped them, tried scratching their head, no head was found, and welded motor shut to assy.
Any tips on removing whole assy? Dremel out weld spots after that?

Wow, aparently he wasnt thinking about the motor going bad anytime again in the future.. or at least wile he owned the car, screw everyone else after him aparently.
Id just take a blow tourch to it and after you get the motor off, get the whole bracket off, grind the remanes down so it looks nice and pretty and weld a new bracket onto there and then mount the new motor like its supposted to be

Back to the subject, if i were you i would just remove the whole bracket and just get a new one because its probably going to get damaged while your trying to remove the motor.

I dont understand why a board this big doesnt have it. It's been mentioned a million times before. It's as though the people that run this board dont care. If that's the case theyre as bad as Ebay (without the profit from fees). Ive been scammed on here twice and Paypal wasnt any help. Also With the old system I was able to scan for scammers alot easier. With this new for sale setup It's incredibly hard and that's why I hate it.

I dont think the people that run this bored dont care, i just think they are busy people l ike your average person trying to support a family and pay bills and dont go into the right threads talking about the suggestions like that to see them being made

True. That kinda came out wrong. I just get upset when I see known scammers on the board. Anyone who has lost one penny knows the anger. I'm sure somebody is working on a trader rating or something, at least I hope.

Thanks! I'll try to find the whole new bracket. Motor is still working, but is getting painfully slow.

Re: AAAAA! Window motor is welded to regulator assembly!!!

as far as i can remember my 91 firebird had power windows and when i bought it they didnt work. (that was a hot ride home with no a/c)and i found that from the factory the regulater was riveted to the door frame and the window motor is riveted to the regulater. so to replace the motor you had to get the assymbly out then w/out getting hit by the spring, remove the motor by drilling the rivets. so i just bought new assemblys for manuel windows
