I met a guy who has done a complete frontend conversion on a a 96 Z28 to a 98 up LS1. He has a GM SS hood on it. He wants to add the LS1 style Airbox to complete the look. My question is will it fit or will he need to go another route. Mind you the engine is an LT1 so he would be putting a Ls1 airbox on an LT1.

 

yeah it will work....been done several times. the LS1 airbox will fit under the SLP ultraZ hood as well, which has prompted several guys to switch to that airbox on their LT1s

all you need is the plastic brackets and pieces from the LS1 front end. possibly the radiator shroud too...not sure
