Just upgrade the alternator, buy a good battery, you're set for Interior lighting and a good sound system too, not to mention a slight decrease in the chance of a misfire happening...
I get something like that... only instead of my lights flickering everything just dies completely while I'm still moving without any warning... toss it in nuetral, crank it up, and it rides fine again...

Again,
Thanks to all who replied, etc. Just for the record, I'd rather have 4 camaros than a porsche anyday. (Actually I probably go for more variety but you get the point). And while it is just "a little annoyance" for an otherwise decent value in a performance car.....I still can't believe that someone out there would think this thing is acceptable in any car today! (Nice to see someone else out there agrees!) My friends Kia doesn't even do it! Hence, this is why I put forth this question in the first place.
Clearly, it is fairly common (with GM) but likely not normal (wasn't expected to do this when designed). Good to know that now. It now seems that those that have the problem are likely suffering from a less than optimum battery combined with a borderline design. When the alternator goes, I'll up that too to see......and yeah I agree it clearly needs mods.
Laterz and thanks again.

Running all those accessories at once draws a ton of power.
Headlights, foglamps, interior lights (for some reason you have these on but whatever), radio, and most likely, Defrost and or Heat. The lights dimming for a split second is totally normal, especially with the additional, and usually very sudden AIR kicking on.

Don't start your car with any of the electronics on and don't leave them on when you park. This includes leaving the air conditioner switch on max or anything else, always turn it off when you leave your car and let it decompress. I'm less technical than most of the people here, but if you are starting your car, you are better off having everything else off. You should be able to leave your radio on, but I usually turn it low to listen for any engine noises when I start up.
The power flicker may be due to the fact that the electronics in the car only work off the battery when the engine is off. When you start the car, the alternator powers all of the electronics. The flicker could be due to it switching from battery to alternator. I don't know if this is a possibility, but you could possibly have the wrong voltage battery in your car (don't flame me if I'm being an idiot).
Again, I'm no tech guy, just offering some possibly useless advice. I can't even fix my broken window motor, and have never even bothered with the burnt out light bulb in the glove compartment
Just don't mess up your car by modifying every darn thing like people are suggesting, you never know, an all stock Camaro might be worth something some day.
