97 Wiring Schematic Needed

I need the schematic for a 97 instrument cluster. More specifically, I need to see how the odometer/trip meter is reference from the speedometer. I am running a very quirky setup (93 car, SLP SPeedo box, and 97 gauge cluster) and while the speedo is calibrated properly, the odometer and trip meter aren't working as advertised. It's registering eXTREMELY slowly if at all, and above a certain speed around 15 mph or so won't register anything.

Thoughts or ideas, and I could really stand to see the cluster schematic.

*Edit* Or, if someone has a 97 Service Manual and could get me (pic, scan, typed) the speedometer/odometer description from the Gages/Instrument Cluster section, what I'm looking for should be in there.

I'm not sure if the SLP box is at fault or not. It seems that the odometer just up and quit working on me, coincidentally at the same time as the installation (or rather working installation) of the SLP box.

Something that I did note however, when testing the SLP box and I advance the speedo to 110 and peg it at 155, the odometer registers. When I'm driving though, I gets nothing.

The shop manual is useless for what you want. I'm looking at it right now. I believe what you want doesn't exist. The shop manual only shows the signal from the PCM to the Instrument Cluster (IC) on a green/white wire. The internal circuitry is not described. It says the signal has 4000 pulses per mile. The signal is then dealt with internally to the IC and sent to the speedo and the odo. The internal diagram is 2 boxes that say "solid state logic" and the other box says "odometer". That's it.

It would appear that if one is working (speedo) but not the odo, it would be an internal logic problem. In that case, you would have to change out the IC.

Perhaps the company that built the IC has the internal schematic and logic diagram.

I guess you could double check to see if you have 4K pulses per mile and prove the problem is internal but like I said, if one works and the other doesn't you already know that.

Re: 97 Wiring Schematic Needed

THanks for looking. I'm mainly right now trying to figure out if it's an issue to do with the SLP box installation or not. I may try to re-seat the cluster in the dash (might as well have a look at the odometer connection in there too) and disconnect the SLP box and see what happens while I'm at it. It's just too coincidental for the odometer to quit working at precisely the same time as the SLP box installation.
