97 side mirror power
So I have a 97 with a bad driver side mirror. I need to replace the whole set up. It is the type with the manual adjust. One of the cables that adjusts the mirror pulled out. Is the wiring already in the door to set it up for power mirrors? How hard would it be to convert over?

Not real hard, it can be done (if you know what you're doing). I am pretty sure the wiring will not be there (don't know for sure) but if it's not, you are going to have to fork out some cash. You will need power mirrors (obviously), the power mirror switch and door trim piece, and 3 pigtails: the power mirror switch pigtail, and the pigtails for each power mirror. Then it's all a matter of wiring it up.
The switch pulls power from the fuse block, then the wires go to the mirrors through the switch. one wire on the switch goes to ground, and you're all set. If you want to do it, get the factory manuals by Helms. I'm looking at it right now, and I'm pretty sure I could do it.
