96-97 Camaro SS Hood question
I just recently purchased an SS hood. Got the airbox assembly off of Ebay. My question is, is there supposed to be any padding between the hood and the airbox? So that the airbox doesn't rub against the hood (if it even does at all). If so where would i need to put the padding? Any help would be great! Thanks

I guess you can call it "padding". It looks more like weatherstrip but seems softer. It seems like it basically goes around the inside edge of the metal in the hood. I have no idea what exactly it is though.
I would think that its greater function is to keep the air going directly into the intake and not having any gaps/spaces between the ram air and the air intake.
