95 Z28 with an OBDII computer.

how common is this? OBDII was supposed to be a 96 thing...

Because I didn't check and ensure the 95 was indeed an OBDI car, I now need to purchase other software to tune it.

... Time for a beer ...

95s were OBD-I, not OBD-II (even though it has a 16 pin DLC).

OK, so it is in fact ODBI, and not II... Is there an adapter cable that converts it? I've got the cable and TunerCats for OBDI, but I have no way to connect to the OBDII 16 Pin.

Thank you.

Lots of places sell the correct cable (maybe even Tunercat does).

I bought the Serial port version of that cable for my 95 from Aldlcable.com. They seem to look nicer now than my did when I bought it 4 years ago. Anyway, it works great.

YEP, of course I was pissed, and didn't calm down and think things through... I'm going to try something tomorrow night with some cables that came with my OBDII hand scanner, one of them converts to a 25 Pin Parallel connection, I'll see if it reads correctly once I reduce it to 9 PIN.

If not, there's always another cable to be purchased.

Thanks for bringing me back to reality folks.
