95 Z Factory alarm/ keyless entry HELP

My car has had the factory keyless entry since i got it, but no alarm. While i was installing the wiring for a light for my CSI pump, i found the factory alarm box under the steering column pannel. It had one of the harnesses disconnected, and when i plugged it back in, the alarm would sound! The only problem is the key fob that i have that unlocks my doors will NOT shut off the alarm. Is there another one i need to get to make this work or is there some way to program it? Help please!

Aparently its not a "factory" alarm because its mounted under the sterring wheel and it is tapped into a bunch of lines. It is manufactured by GM however. any ideas?

I have a 94 coupe I rewired after a fire and I used a dash pad from a car with a factory alarm. It has a little red light to the right of the top defroster duct. It is definately factory and I would imagine that it was common on all cars with a factory alarm. I would watch out too. The camaro I rewired had what looked like an aftermarket alarm wired in under the column. There wasn't much left so I couldn't ID it positively. (it may have caused the fire.) Also, I believe the wireless receiver for the door locks is going to be under the passenger kick panel. You might take a look there for some clues.
