94 Camaro z28 or 84 Corvette??

Hi all, I am not sure if I am posting this in the right spot, but here goes.... Was just hoping to get some insight... I currently have a 1984 Corvette with around 45,000 miles. It is in good shape, runs a little rough and could possibly use some rear end work.

Now, I have the opportunity to trade this for a 94 Camaro z28. Some info on the Camaro: Rebuilt engine about 40,000 miles ago, bored .30 over, 3.73 gears, lots and lots of money and performance put into engine and tranny. T-tops, newer tires and rims, never seen snow, stage 1 shift kit,), CAM, ROLLERS, CORVETTE RACING SENSORS, ALUMINUM HEADS, RACING SEATS, COMPLETE TUNE UP DONE ABOUT 100 MILES AGO.

Just wanted to see what the Camaro enthusiasts thought! thank you sooo much!!

Couple things in the description raise a red flag:

All LT1's used in F-Bodies (Camaro/Firebird) and Y-bodies (Corvette) have aluminum heads. Only the B-Bodies (Caprice/SS/Roadmaster) had cast iron heads. I would also question what "CORVETTE RACING SENSORS" are. The F-Body and Y-body LT1 engines are identical, except that the Corvette got a block with 4-bolt mains, and has dual knock sensors. A popular mod is to install an "LT4 knock module" (not a sensor) from the 96 Corvette in the PCM, and that is a $50 part that helps eliminate false knock when full roller rockers are used.

Don't want you to get taken in by "hype". Bottom line - do they have a HP dyno? Do they have time slips to support the claims of "money and performance"?

Does your CFI work problem free?

Thanks for the replies. I'm not too mechanically inclined... But I will check on this. They have all the paperwork for the work done(8000) worth. I guess what I'm wondering is do u think, if everything looks right and the paperwork and it drives as sweet as they say, is it a good trade? Or would u think my vette is the better car? Thanks again
