93 T/A vs. 88 RX7 w/ 302

Hey guys,

My friend swapped a 302 into his RX7 last year but didn't have the cash to insure it so we never got to race... I know for a fact it isn't a Boss 302, its out of a truck.. He pretty much has a carb, intake manifold, and shorties with exhaust done but its through a stock auto that is not stalled. He estimates that right now hes making around 235rwHP.

I do have more mods than him (Intake, Chip, Hooker LTs, ORY, magnaflow catback) and my car is a 6 speed, but my car must weight at least 400 to 600lbslbs more... driver weight is equal...

Do I have a chance?

You should take it pretty easy.

But who knows, I've read of crazier happening to be honest.

Also... on a side note... Should I be looking at 3.73,3.90,4.10 ratio for gears?

He dont stand a chance. If you have an m6, alot of people like 4.10 or 4.11's, if you have a4, 3.73's.
