93-97 Camaro Headlight Options..
To be able to use the stock harness and not have to do much work...what bulbs can be used in place of the sylvania housings and not burn up the harness?
For that matter...is the lighting ANY better by switching bulbs? I know I would need two low beams and two high beams...but what kind is it that everyone has used for it...
I did a search...didn't get a clear answer...and also just seeing if there are multiple bulbs people have tried ?

the most common upgrade is to install something like the Sylvania SilvaStar bulbs in the stock houseings. this means you have to remove the bulb unit form the glass housing and epoxy or RVT the new bulbs in.
the silvastars are stock wattage so they work with the stock harness. and they are a whiter light which looks a bit better.
however without increasing the wattage you won't really gain much more "visibility".
you can now get the upgrade harness for about $40 ...do some searching...and then run 100w bulbs.
for a good cheap 100w bulb check out the Luks brand at i think www.afterthoughtsauto.com or just google them. they make a standard bulb that is 100w but has the same color as stock. i have them and they are a nice improvement. they also make a whiter bulb for a bit more $$ that is also 100w and has a whiter color to the light.
