4th Gen LT1 Fuse Sizes
4th Gen LT1 Fuse Sizes
Removed the injector/ignition fuses to do a compression test and noticed that many of the fuses are incorrect. I have owned the car since new and have either serviced at dealer or done myself so not sure how so many of these are wrong?
Eng Sensor is 7.5 amp (20 is specified)
Injector is 7.5 (15)
Horn is 10 (20)
ABS Bat is 10 (5)
ABS Valve is 5 (20)
Actuators is 20 (15)
With the exception of ABS Bat and Actuators, the fuse is smaller so no risk of toasting something but I am baffled how so many are different than what they are supposed to be? Before I replace all of them, was this done intentionally by the dealer as part of a bulletin? Dealer was a moron? Sure wasn't me who put them in.

Re: 4th Gen LT1 Fuse Sizes
While I am not the original owner of the car, I have known the original owner since he took delivery of it day one, and always admired the car immensely.
That is the sole reason I have it now. I am the second owner, but was advised of everything ever done to the car to the last detail.
I will check tomorrow in the daylight on the fuse thing, but the car is absolutely bone stock as he took delivery of it with the exception of new tires, fluids being changed, and the computer re-flashed one time last year.
I guess you are just basing that on what is specified in the fuse block cover?

Re: 4th Gen LT1 Fuse Sizes
Yes, fuse block cover. Though when I check the manual (8A-11-4) they are different again:
Engine sensor and Injector are both Injector are supposed to be 7.5 amps;
Horn is actually the PCM and is supposed to be 10 amps...
Does anyone know what the part number is for the Relay Indentification (the label inside the fuse cover)? Mine, which is obviously not for my car, is part number 12191559-A.
