4th gen becoming popular?
4th gen becoming popular?
I have a 2002, triple black, Z28 convertible with leather and ground effects option with under 30K.
I have had calls from two different Chevy dealerships, (The one at which I bought it and the one at which I get it serviced) offering to buy my car for customers they have who want to buy it. Both said that there are no good low mileage Camaros available at the auctions.
I have owned many cars in my 63 years, but have never gotten calls like this.

They probably want to get you to the dealership to sell you another car. I had something similar to that happen to me with my 98 Mustang. Unless they pay you more than the blue book value I wouldn't bother.
Just my opinion.
I got a letter like that for my 2001 GMC Sonoma...which I don't see as a highly sought after vehicle. They are just trying to get some business thats all. If the have to buy a car and resell it (making a profit in the meantime) to do it, they will.
I had a call like that when I was selling my 89 Taurus SHO. The salesman told me he had a buyer that was dying to find one, and he knew how rare they were. He wanted me to trade it in and would give me more than what I was asking. I told him I was not interested in trading it in and wanted cash. He was not even willing to give me close to what I was asking. I am pretty sure he did not have a buyer and was calling everyone selling a car in the area. Not sure if this is the case for you.
I did finally find a buyer that really did know how rare the 89 SHO is and was dying for one and was willing to pay more than I was asking so the story has a happy ending and I now have a Z28.

Yeah I vote they are just trying to sell you a new car. I find it hard to believe they cannot find any low mileage cars at any of the auctions already.
V8's are probably not going anywhere anytime soon. I think they should steer away but as long as we keep buying them they will keep making them.

Same here on my 2000 S 10
