A lot more potential in a LT1 engine.

You could buy a K from BMR with SBC mounts to get the motor in there, but you sure as hell wouldnt be able to run third gen acesories in a 4th gen since the bracket wouldnt work and in the end it would be way more trouble than its worth. If you want an L98 got get a third gen.

not worth the troubles...when people are putting lt1's in third gens...its worth the extra work for the power and potential...swapping in an L98 into a 4th gen just isnt worth the extra work...find a nice third gen rolling chassis and bolt the L98 in there....

You'd be better off buying the 3rd gen if you want that motor. If you really want a 4th gen I'd suggest just stick with the V-6. Of coure the money your looking at spending to do that conversion would cover a nice Z28.

You could probably find an LT1 drivetrain just as easily as you could an L98 and get more power with less hassle. I'm just throwing out a guess here, but would the TPI intake cause fitment issues in a 4th gen because of its longer height?

You may find the distributor a pain to work with on the TPI by putting it in a 4th gen due to the long windshield too.

Get the V6 4th gen and swap in a LS1... Its wouldnt be any harder than the L98 or LT1 swap and would get you more power
