yes.

If you plan on pushing it at all.....

The f-body rear end has commonly broken on cars with even stock internals.

There are many companies selling ford 9" rears with all the brackets needed to bolt in an F-body. Direct bolt in.

It is a question of "when" not "if" you will break it.

I 100% agree. There are several several F-bodies out there that smoked the rear when only stock. It's definately a matter of "when" with a 396.

Do you have any names or websites of these companies?

A4, you can get lucky and have absolutely no problems with the 10bolt, i know of a few with A4's spraying 150+ out of the hole with no breakage, some have cut 60' times in the 1.5 range and one quite a few times in the 1.4x range

M6 yes, with traction, it WILL break

if you dont plan on anything too much better then a ~2sec 60' time with an M6, the 10bolt will be fine, for a long while atleast

to answer your question, it depends on how the car is going to be driven and which transmission you have

if i had an A4, i wouldnt have the Moser right now

With no more than three launches on my 10 bolt (with a T/A cover, and an Auburn Pro diff), my new 383 has made the rear start to whine like a howler monkey with his foot in vise!

I'm personally not gonna risk hitting the button AT ALL until I get a new rear for fear that it'll come apart. OBTW, this is my 3rd rear and LAST 10bolt. I killed the others with a comparatively weak 355.
